CBMC now seeks to expand its operations by appointing a Manager For Volunteers with skills and capabilities to support, build on and expand the current volunteer base.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Manager For Volunteers
Report to: CBMC CEO
Reporting to this Position: Volunteers of CBMC

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for the implementation of board direction as it relates to volunteer management. Working with a small team, this start-up opportunity will require some knowledge across volunteer management, governance and strategic alliances in relation to the Not-for-Profit sector. Ideally the applicant will have proven capability to build on current operations and extend the vision of CBMC’s volunteer service into a broader sphere of community outreach and engagement.

The successful applicant will ideally demonstrate the following:

  1. Understanding of CBMC mission and values.
  2. Self-starter who shows initiative
  3. Demonstrates well developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
  4. Has a proven knowledge and involvement with administrative procedural practice.
  5. Excellent communication and people skills and is able to represent and promote CBMC’s volunteer services to key stakeholders.
  6. Is proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  7. Possesses a strong knowledge and experience in volunteer management with sound understanding of governance, policy and business systems development.
  8. Maintains policies and procedures relevant to organisational practice.
  9. Possesses an enthusiastic approach towards people, team and projects.
  10. Demonstrated desire to express a sense of calling in this direction.

Terms of employment of the Manager for Volunteers is initially a part-time voluntary position with the potential to develop into a paid position, equivalent of 0.4 FTE, which may lead to an increase in time.
